Nikki talks about his country, Australia. She lives in a town of about 15,000 people in New South Wales. Australia is an island. Buildings in Australia are not very old. The oldest is around 150 years. There are many special animals. Many of them are dangerous. There are poisonous spiders and snakes. Dangerous sharks and crocodiles. There are plenty of kangaroos in the country. There is also Emuen that resembles an ostrich and Ecidnaen, an ant stick wind, which is also the gray-white koala, which resembles a bear. There are also many different birds. One of them sounds as if the laughs. It's called `The Laughing kukaburra`.

The most famous attractions are the Opera House in Sydner and Ayers Rock, which lies inside the Australian desert. There are also major rev `The Great Barrier Reef`. It is a 2500 km long coral reef. Here you can dive and see many beautiful species. Perhaps you are lucky to meet dolphins or swim with them. Or you're unlucky and encounter a shark, perhaps the great white shark. There are many beautiful special plants. Nature is very different. In the middle of Australia is desert. Along the coast there are miles of sandy beaches. In summer it is very hot. 35 degrees. In winter, around 5 degrees. Australians love the outdoor life and especially beaches. Here the sun, surf and swim.
