1. Introduction
Australia is the sixth largest country in the world and it covers an area that is the same size as the United States and Alaska combined. The Aboriginals were seen as animals, and treated the same way. I find it terrible and senseless that nobody respected the Aboriginals. They were hunted as animals, away from the land they had lived on for many years before.
Nobody knows for certain how or when the Aborigines arrived in Australia. Nor does anybody know for certain where they came from. Scientists believe that the aboriginal’s ancestors may have come from Asia or Africa. They arrived in Australia for at least 40,000 years ago. They probably sailed in boats and timber fleets, and they went over the land that once connected the continents. But the Aborigines do not agree. Their own history tells them that they have lived there ever since Australia existed.

Uluru is an Aboriginal word and means: "Big Rock".
For all Australians this rock is the symbolic heart of the country.
