Francesc "Cesc" Fàbregas Soler (born May 4, 1987 in Vilassar de Mar, Spain), also known as "Cesc", is a Spanish footballer who plays as a midfielder the Premier League club Arsenal. After Fàbregas had spent his first months in England to settle in new surroundings, he made his debut for the club in a League Cup match on 23 October 2003 against Rotherham United. The fight was historic for both Fàbregas and Arsenal, when he with the age of 16 years and 177 days, the club's youngest ever first team player. In a later match in the same tournament, he was also the club's youngest scorer when he scored his first goal in a 5-1 victory against Wolverhampton. Fàbregas technically won the Premier League with the club in the unbeaten 2004 season, but since he had not had a single appearance in the tournament, he can at best be attributed to a marginal share of the credit for the title and got no wins medal. In the Champions League, he was second among tournament's second youngest ever goalscorer when he scored one goal in Arsenal's 5-1 victory over Norwegian Rosenborg BK. He established himself with strong efforts as an often-used player in the midfield, and the reward came when he was in the starting line up in the FA Cup final against Manchester United on 21 May, when Arsenal won the penalty shootout.
