Barack H. Obama is the 44th President of the United States.
Barak Obama was born in 1961 by an American mother and a Kenyan father. His upbringing was a middle-class upbringing in a strong family, who believed in hard work. After law school Obama worked as a civil rights attorney for eleven years in Chicago.
He was elected on November 4, 2008, and sworn in on January 20, 2009. He became the first black president in USA. Nine months into his presidency, Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. One of the reasons was that he works for a World without nuclear weapons.
Martin Luther King also was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, for his work to end racial segregation.
Obama believe in
Some of things Barack Obama supports are a world without nuclear weapons, and Obama still works for civil rights today. He works for all American people. He chose to run for president because he believes that we can only solve the segregation-problem together. And even though we may not look the same and come from the same place, we all want to move towards a better future.
