Not many know, much about the moles not even animal scientists, because they oddly enough, compared to other mammalians or animals, lives under the ground. There they eat, sleep and die. The mole belongs to the Talpidae family and is one of those mammals who eat insects, also called insectivorous mammals.
Moles can be seen all around Europe, Asia, Southern Africa and North America.
Moles eat earthworms and other insects. Moles can grow from 12 cm to 18 cm, the tail can be up to 3 cm and they weigh normally from 60 to 130 grams.
The moles have a long sensitive snout, which is used to find insects. They have no ears, just holes that are covered by the fur and they have sharp teeth and small eyes; they are almost covered up by the fur and the only thing the mole can se is light. They also like the light and moist soil that’s the only reason they come up from the ground, but they have a very good hearing and feeling sense.
The tail is an important part of the moles, it helps the moles, by guiding them, when they have to go backward and the few hairs on the tail, can give the moles information, about the vibrations under the ground.
