Hærværk af Tom Kristensen: analyse og kemisk undersøgelse

This study has its main focus on the story ‘Hærværk’ by Tom Kristensen. The story is going to be analyzed with focus on the main character Ole Jastrau, and his abuse of alcohol. As well am I going to interpret the story, and try to conclude why Ole Jastrau is drinking his life away? I will determine the amount of alcohol in port and gin and then I am going to produce my own antabuse. Then I am going to set out, how antabuse really works, and how it works against the alcohol. The analyze of Ole Jastrau and his drinking habits have lead me to the interpret that, the character Ole Jastrau, is at strong nihilist and prefer some distance to the old ideals and religion. Ole Jastrau is looking for a deeper insight in life. The amount of alcohol in port and gin, have I determined, and the amount of alcohol in port, did I get to about 11% which are a fine result, as well as gin, did I get an alcohol amount on 36 % which in this case are extremely well. While making the antabuse, there is a lot of thing that can go wrong, therefore my yield was not so big, as it maybe could have been, and that is why I only have made about 32 % antabuse.
