Hannibal is a fantastic film unlike a lot of people I liked this one better than “The Silence of the Lambs”. Anthony Hopkins is played his role to perfection. I was actually terrified watching that psycho going around playing mind games. Julianne Moore and Giancarlo Giannini also deserve applause for their acting.
This is one of very few movies I bothered watching more than once, just because I it was so good. It seems as you can watch it once, and like it because of something, and then watch it again and discover a lot of other things that are good too.
The film is not gory at all. There are only a couple of scenes where you might feel disgusted. But the psychological terror was thrilling because of the fantastic acting.
Is it as good as the first movie, Silence of the Lambs? I believe that it is a lot better because of the differences. The creators did very well creating a sequel that didn’t just look like a cheap shot at earning money. And I think it is a lot more terrifying seeing Hannibal free roaming around the streets of Firenze, compared to seeing him in a cell in the Silence of the Lambs.
