Bonnie and Clyde: Historie og Hollywood-fremstilling

Bonnie and Clyde were driving towards their hideout, only a few kilometers from a town called Gibsland.

They were driving in a naked and remote landscape with the horizon in front of them. As they passed a hill, they, further down the road, saw a truck which has pulled over. It was missing one tire, Clyde slowed down to look for the driver, but he was nowhere to be found. Suddenly 6 policemen jumped out from some nearby bushes and started shooting at their car. In the matter of seconds the car was riddled with bullets from pistols and rifles. As the policemen slowly approached the car, which was almost lying upside down in the ditch, they looked inside the broken windows to see, Bonnie and Clyde, both dead. This was the end to a long and dramatic chase of the histories most famous criminal couple. 23th of May, 1934.

Bonnie and Clyde is the most infamous, yet admired partners in crime. The government had tried to catch them for 4 years, being wanted for robbery, kidnapping and murder. The two lovers and their deeds enchanted a whole nation, whom eagerly followed the happening of events through radio and newspapers.
