I was on my way home, I had just been at a friend’s house and I slowly sauntered down the road whilest I was away in my own thoughts. Suddenly without knowing I stopped myself and realised that I was staring at the green grass beside me. As I came towards the grass my eyes were focused on a bright shiny piece of glass. I walked closer and that was when I saw the diamond, at least I thought it looked like a diamond, I wasn't sure. I went over and picked it up and looked at it. That was the first time I had ever seen something so shiny. It was beautiful and the light came down from the sun and hit the diamond. I had never revealed anything like that before. It was absolutely amazing. I placed it inside my pocket and then continued my walk home. It looked exactly like a diamond but I could not tell if it was real or fake, maybe it was because I had too many thoughts running through my mind. What should I do if it is real? Sell it, get money and buy myself something enjoyable and worthwhile, or would that be the wrong idea? Maybe I should hand it in to the museum so they can have a look on it further. Maybe that would be the right idea. I was very confused but before I decided what to do I went to research more information about diamonds on the computer. There were a lot of explanations and different websites and most of them described the diamond that I found perfectly. I was highly convinced that the diamond I found was real. I decided to let the experts on diamonds to take a look on it. I wanted to be a hundred percent sure that it was real. I then walked down the stairs to the kitchen and took some wrapping paper and wrapped up the diamond to protect it from any scratches. I then placed it back in my pocket and then walked out of the door. When I next revisited the goldsmith he took a magnifying glass and looked prudently at it. After a while, the goldsmith approved that it was real. He was absolutely shocked and was wondering what I would do with the diamond. I had no idea. I only knew that I would keep it myself. It is not every day, you something that unique, it is very rarely. I decided to place the tiny diamond on a ring, so I could keep it forever and have this memory with me everywhere I go.
