The pterosaur is a Greek word and meaning a winged lizard. They lived from 200 – 250 million years ago with the dinosaurs. They lived in Germany, France, England, Tanzania; Africa, where they lived around rivers and lakes. The pterosaur is in a sister group with the Dinosaurian and it both belongs to the Ornithodira. At the Pterosaur was the ring finger totally extended, while the little finger was reduced. Between the body and the ring finger was the stretched a wing membrane. The other fingers had claws and be used to climb with. Unlike bats, have wing membranes starched between several fingers, had the Pterosaur membranes aktinobriller to make them more robust against laceration.

The first ``winged wizard´´ was the rhamphorhynchide with long tails. They came up in the end of Trias (Trais is a geologic priod ranging from 251 – 199, 6 million year ago) and the smallest of them is like the crows we have today. They problaly hunted insects, while the biggest of them had wingspan up to 12 meters and lived on fishand some of them had maybe bin scavengers I the end of Jura (Jura is a period, ranging from 199.6 to 14.5 million years ago) repressed the pterodactyls rhamphorhynchide the largest pterosaurs, and the birds supplanted the smaller.
