It’s the year 2035. A lot of things have changed. The Earth is no longer healthy; it’s destroyed because of humans who can’t take care of the planet. People became more and more selfish, they only thought about themselves and how technology can save us.
20 years ago NASA has found Kepler-425 after 20 years of searching. A planet that is very similar to Earth. I was 14 at that time and I red a lot of articles and blogs about it. I found out that it will take 1,400 years to travel to Kepler-425, and I thought it was impossible to get there. The first impression I had in myself when I found out about Kepler-425 is I felt like it will like the movie Elysium. The rich who can afford to go there will be the first to go to that new planet, and the poor will be stuck in rotten Earth with pollution. Today many people have moved to Kepler-425, we call it Earth 2.0. I was one of them. We didn’t really have a choice, because everything is destroyed back to our old planet and clearly impossible to have a life there anymore.
I was just a regular woman who had a job and gets paid enough money to live. I’m married to this amazing guy and have 2 wonderful kids. We were all happy until everything got destroyed. We couldn’t afford to go to Earth 2.0 and we didn’t know what to do. The rich were already there, while the poor were struggling to get food and a proper shelter.
