A person I admire.Ever since I was a young boy, I have always listened to American rap music. It inspired me in a different way than “normal” music. Although I was too young to truly understand American rap music, I still admire the rappers behind the music. Such as Tupac, Eminem and Ice Cube, but the person I admire the most is Tupac Amaru Shakur. Tupac was born 16. June 1971 and passed away 13. September 1996. He is considered one of the best musical talents in music and yet he passed away, which is why people were convinced that rap would never be the same. Tupac was a member of a music group/gang who referred to themselves as 'outlaws'. Tupac is one of the most admired figures, among young people around the world. Why do I admire this person so much? Because Tupac was never afraid to express himself, he spoke out for what he believed in despite the consequences. Many rappers today are censored of their true beliefs as they try to be mainstream. Another reason would be the things Tupac rapped about. Most rappers today rap about materialistic things. Tupac on the other hand presented poetry about the day to day struggles of regular african Americans. Tupac gave rap a whole new meaning to the world. He showed the hip hop world that rap is so much more meaningful when you involve emotions and provoke them from the listeners. I am also fascinated with the stories behind Tupac’s death, is he dead or alive? There is wide speculation that Tupac may not be dead. There is a lot of evidence to support this theory such as; the ‘’7 day theory’’,why did Tupac change his name to Makaveli before he died? There is also another theory that claims that the words ‘’am alive’’ are a subliminal message within his name ‘’Makaveli’’. Machiavelli, an Italian strategist who is the author of one of the books which Tupac studied in jail ‘’ to fool an enemy, fake ones death’’. Machiavelli faked his death, when he was 25 years old and did return, when he was 43 years old. Did Tupac take Machiavelli's advice? Tupac had a lot of enemies, and he has always wished to leave the limelight, so the chance for him to take Machiavelli advice were significant. Tupac died when he was 25 years old like Machiavelli, and if this theory is correct he is set to return in the year 2014. I remember 3 years ago, when I search for this, and found an old videotape, where Tupac was admitted to hospital, and one of the news articles said that ‘’the doctors have told the family members the rap star will ones again recover from his injuries’’, why are there so many different stories about his death? Perhaps because Tupac always spoke his mind he made a lot of enemies who wished to hurt him, so he took the correct safety precautions? Or maybe he actually just did die? Nobody will ever know. The photo taken of Tupacs corpse, is very similar with that of the video for ‘’California love’’, and there is a missing tattoo on his neck on the picture. Every Tupac fan in the world questions this, and there is so much about it, you can read or see it on Google, YouTube, all over the Internet. What do I believe really happened? I really admire Tupac so I don't like to admit it, but I believe that Tupac is dead. However he still lives on in his rap songs and that makes him a legend. Nobody can take his place, and he will always carry the title as the ‘’king of rap’’, along with two of the other pioneers in music: Michael Jackson- ‘’king of pop’’, and Elvis Presley- ‘’king of rock and roll’’. I do not know these guys, but I got one thing to tell them, ‘’rest in peace kings, all of you have giving so much to the world’’.
