Tupac Amaru Shakur: biografi og karriere

I want to write about Lesane Parish Crooks or known by his stage name Tupac Amaru Shakur or just Pac as a lot of people called him.

He was an American rapper who was born in East Harlem section of Manhattan in New York City. He was born at June 16, 1971 and died September 13, 1996 shot to death by unknown murder, but a lot of people think it was his old friend which he became enemy with that had shot him. Since he was young Tupac had a very tuff life, he lived in the ghetto together with his mom and his stepfather Mutulu Shakur, and that’s how he changed his name from Lesane Parish Crooks to Tupac Amaru Shakur. At the age of 12 Tupac got very lucky and got a roll at a play called A Raisin in the Sun, which was performed at the famous Apollo Theater. His family moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1986 and after completing his high school he transferred to Baltimore School for the Arts. It was at this school he got the chance to prove his skills as a rapper, he was very popular at this school because he was not only the schools best rapper but also as an actor. He was one of the most selling artists in the world; he sold over 75 million albums worldwide. In addition to his status as one of the most selling artist in the world, he was also a promising actor and a social activist. Most of the songs he made in his rap career were about growing up in the ghetto where there is a lot of violence and he also made songs about racism. He also made couple of songs where he talks about the police, he had a lot of hate against the police because they once beat him up in the street in front of his friends, and reason for the beating was because he didn’t want to tell them his name. December 1993, Shakur and others were charged with sexually abusing a woman in a hotel room. Even though there was no prove that Tupac touched the woman, he was still sentenced one-and- a- half years in prison. On the night of November 30, 1994, the day before the verdict in his sexual abuse trial was to be announced, Shakur was shot five times and robbed after entering the lobby of a Recording Studios in Manhattan by two armed men in army fatigues. Tupac had received five bullet wounds; twice in the head, twice in the groin and once through the arm and thigh. After the shooting Tupac blamed one of his close friend for the shooting and claimed that his friend set him up, he started dissing his friend on some of his tracks and that’s when the beef started and after that their friendship was over and they became enemies. A lot of people think that the later death of Tupac was because of his old friend, who shot him while he was sitting in his car after he got out from watching a Mike Tyson boxing match. But his old friend was also shot by Tupacs friend as revenge act for the killing of Tupac. Tupac Died September 13, 1996. A lot of people was shocked for his suddenly death, because they all thought he would make it because he was shot 5 times a couple of years back and he made it. Even though it has been 13 years since Tupacs death, people of our generation still listens to Tupac music, he was a very talented rapper who will never be forgotten for his music and movies. I also listen to his music and I think he is very good, he made a lot of songs which I can relate to and it’s because of him I started writing and recording my own songs about my life and people around me. I have a lot of posters with Tupac hanging everywhere in my room with some of his best quotes written on them. I look at them some times and just by reading the words that are wrote on the posters give me courage to go out and face the world. One of my favorite quotes by Tupac Amaru Shakur is “Only God can judge me”. Tupac is the best rapper who ever lived and he will always be my biggest idol of all time.
