Robyn Rihanna Fenty is born 20. of February in 1988, better known as Rihanna. Rihanna was born in Saint Michael, on the island of Barbados. Her parent’s names are Ronald and Monica. Rihanna has two younger brothers names are Rorrey and Rajad Fenty.
Rihanna is a singer, model and beauty queen from Barbados. In 2004 she won the Miss Beauty Contest. She is the first artist from Barbados to have won a Grammy Award. Rihanna currently has a contract with Def Jam Records. She has so far managed to get six number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 with the songs: ‘SOS’, ‘Umbrella’, ‘Take a Bow’, ‘Disturbia’, ‘Live Your Life’ and ‘Rude Boy’
The start of Rihanna’s Career:
In 2003 the group met with Rihanna's producer Evan Rogers, through mutual friends. The group came to the audition with Evan Rogers, who said that,
"The moment Rihanna came into the room, it was like for the other two girls did not exist." She later moved to Connecticut in the USA to live with Evan Rogers and his wife.
Evan Rogers and his partner, Carl Sturken, helped Rihanna recording material to send to various record companies in the USA Rihanna's demo made its way to Def Jam, Def invited her to audition for the music company's then President Jay-Z, who quickly signed a contract with her.
