I personally think that dressing the way that you feel most comfortable is very important. It shows what kind of type you are. I think that you should dress how you want to, it shouldn’t be different from everything else no matter if you are Emo, Hipster, Goth or Punk. I wear jeans with a shirt and I find this both stylish and comfortable. I wouldn’t want to wear anything else than what I feel comfortable in.
Prejudices towards people that dress different are also a big problem. They’re mostly wearing clothes that people would associate with burglars or thieves, someone like a thieve would clearly wear clothes that make him more anonymous to the public eye. Unfortunately, this description of clothes often fits the hip-hop/street style, which is very popular amongst the young people.
This phenomenon has gone from the parents, to the children that suddenly are growing up not knowing that these individuals are people too. I came across your article, and I thought that it could become some sort of issue to the children that watched it. Imagine all the children that have lived all of their lives in this kind of prejudices, they have their whole lives been filled up in the mind with things that really just isn’t their own thoughts, it’s the parent’s.
