I can’t stand people that have to control what girls wear.
In the last couple of weeks, there have been a lot of debates about what a girl should wear in school because a headmaster forbids girls to wear crop tops. I don’t think that’s okay, and I know he's not the first who has done that. When I was in eighth grade, I was told the same and that it is not acceptable to show too much skin for a girl because boys couldn’t concentrate, and it is insulting others.
How can my stomach or shoulders be insulting? And why is it only girls who can’t wear what they want too?
I don’t think there are any good answers to my questions but trust me there are many bad answers especially if you look in the comment section on Facebook. Many say that it is not acceptable because it is not formal, but we don’t have a formal school in Denmark we wear what we would wear at home or other official places. If we did have a formal school, there would be school uniforms and personally, I don’t think that is a good idea because I use clothes to express myself and feel pretty, and to find out who I am.
