My name is [NAVN G] and I’m 17 years old. I live in Gug with my family. My family consists of 8 people: four sisters and one brother ([NAVN A] 18 years old, [NAVN B] (girl) 15 years, [NAVN D] 13 years old, [NAVN E] 11 years old and [NAVN G] in the age of 9). My parents’ names are [NAVN C] and [NAVN F]. My family and I are originally from Iraq. We’ve lived in Denmark for about 10 years. I came here at the age of 7 and that’s the reason why I speak good Danish. My family and I are clearly much happier here, than we were In Iraq, not only because of the war but also because we feel freer in Denmark.

Before I started at gymnasium I went at Løvvangskolen and Gug Skole. I started in Gug skole from 4th to 8th grade, and after that I moved on to another school which is named Løvvangskolen. I started having English in 3th grade. I’ve always liked the language English, because it’s interesting to me.

It’s pretty different what I’m good at in English. It’s easier for me to write than to communicate in English. I really want to develop my oral English because I find it important to communicate with other people. I’ve mostly learnt English through the book and the paper, and not at least because of English movies and series that I’ve been following. When I watch English movies I either turn the subtitle off or turn English subtitles on (both) to improve my spoken and my written. If I was asked about a good English movie, I would totally urge the movie Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor is about the Second World War, which is a topic I would like to read more about.
