The story is about a man called Tommy Castelli. He is 29 year old and find his life very unexciting. When he was young his real name was Tony. He quit the shoemaker-school in the age of 16. he hanged out with some gangsters from the neighborhood. He became a part of this gangster group which meant that he was been involved in a hold up of a liquor store. He doesn’t have any good friends and at the same time he has a lot of problems, but he has a friend who is a caretaker and of course has this relationship with Rosa who he is married to. It doesn’t feel like he love her or will take care of her because he doesn’t even share his money with her, he’s earning then behind her back. Tommy’s father made up an arrange marriage with a girl called Rosa. After spending some time in Texas Tommy took over the candy shop. In the shop, Tommy meet a girl, who life just around in the neighborhood. She stole a cobble of chocolate bars, she steel all kind of candy while she distract Tommy with something else. This girl is also a part of the crime circle, and Tommy don’t want her to be that, and that’s why he try to help he, and get her out of the circle. The way he see him self in the future isn’t that nice. He see himself living in the slums and walking around with gangsters, but his biggest dream has always been to get out of the slums and get a ‘normal’ live and live in a normal marriage were he actually love his wife.
