I’m writing you because I am very interested in one of your free jobs. I currently live in Denmark but I am going to visit my family in Chicago. I will be there for about 3 and a half month. During that time I will be away from my job here in Denmark and therefore I thought that maybe there was a chance for me to find a job with you in Chicago.
I am 15 years old and I live in Lejre which is a small town about 45 minutes away from Copenhagen by car. In my spare time I like to play soccer and spend time together with my friends. I play soccer twice a week and then we often play a match at the end of the week. I go to school every day at 8 o’clock and then I am home again about half past 2.
Here in Denmark I work in the local supermarket. I go to work 2 days a week right after school. I like my job and the boss seems also to like me so that’s fine. I help them to bring items out of the truck and then put them on their right places in the store. It sounds pretty boring, but I think it is alright. Basically it is an easy job, but sometimes it can be a bit tiresome because there are so many boxes to carry in the store. The other employees of the store are very nice and we can have some good conversation during the work.
