'Green Street Hooligans' plot og karakteranalyse

Matt Buckner who is studying journalism, is expelled from Harvard University after cocaine is discovered in his room, but it wasn’t his, it belonged to his roommate Jeremy. Matt didn’t tell anyone that it was Jeremy’s plus Jeremy offers him money for taking the fall. Then he moves to his sister Shannon in England, she has a husband named Steve. Matt’s and Shannon’s mother died, and their father is a busy journalist, and he travels a lot around the world. Matt meets Steve’s brother Pete. Steve asked Pete to take Matt with him to a soccer match. Pete argues, but he still takes him to the match. Matt meets Pete’s friends and watches the game. Matt goes home alone, but he realize that someone is following him, they stop him and beats him a little, all of a sudden Pete shows up, with his friends and saves Matt, but they still fight, with the other. Finally they came home all bloody. Steve and Shannon were shocked, Steve got angry with Pete, but then Matt moves to Pete’s place. After that day Matt finally understood that he was becoming a Hooligan like Pete and his friends. Pete’s best friend “Bovver” gets a little jealous, seeing Pete and Matt becoming really good friends. Bovver decides to watch after Matt, and one day he saw that, Matt talks with journalist and think that he is a journalist himself, but actually Matt only visits his father, who works there. Bovver talks to some other Hooligans, they attacked Pete’s hooligan Friends, Pete’s brother Steve got into the hospital, then Shannon was really pissed and wanted to leave Steve, because she swore that she would leave him if he goes back to the hooligans. Steve was the king of hooligans before he met Shannon but then he left it all, because of Shannon and their son. Pete was ready for revenge, but first he sent Matt back to the states, then all the Hooligans met, they were all fighting and then Matt came and helped, Shannon came to pick up Matt. While Shannon yelled after Matt, Pete was beaten to death.
