In USA they have a very special community called the Amish-community, they are in other countries than USA, but the 3 biggest populations is in the states, but anyways I would describe these people as a very old fashion, they haven’t changed for centuries. They live the same way now as they did 100 years ago or 200 years ago. They don’t use electricity, which means no sell phone, no computer, no cars and no farming gear with any kind of engine or so. Most of the Amish people’s living bread is farming, and they only use muscle power like horses, to make a Self-sufficient community.
The Amish people are among the fastest-growing populations in the world, with an average of 7 children per family. A good example was in 1920 the Amish population was around 5000 peoples and already 94 years later there is a population on 280.000, a other good example was from 1992 to 2008 the population was growing with 83,7 percent.
In the Amish culture they have a very special tradition called Rumspringa. The meaning of this tradition is to discover the outside world. When a Amish kid turn 16, the kid get offered a opportunity to go out on their own to see how normal people live their life. They leave the community with some money and a possible way of going back. It’s a much known think for the Rumspringa’s to go out, get drunk, some might even try drugs, but that’s only a few, some also stay in the outside world, because the want a high education, which Is impossible in the Amish culture. But even though all the fun, new and existing thinks they might try, around 70 % return to their family and the Amish culture.
