I choose this subject because I think it was very exciting what the aborigines experienced under the stolen generation, because it has had a lot of influence in their history. So now, I will tell about the Aborigines and their belief, the stolen generation and what we did to Greenland.
The Aborigines believed that the Ancestors made the world in the Dreamtime. But the different tribes had different I choose this subject because I think it’s exciting to know something about what the Aborigines has ideas about how the Ancestors made the world and some tribes believed that they were animal-spirts. Today most Aborigines live in cities and towns. Many of the Aborigines are poor. They living in bad housing and don’t have any jobs. But they want to live a more traditional way of life and some of them really want to move back to the family but they can’t because they can’t speak the language and don’t know how to act in an aborigines home. So they don’t know what it means to be a nomad or walkabout. And they don’t know what it will mean to walk around and be nomads. Many Aboriginal children’s have poor study results and this has a lot to do with their home situations - weak economy, long periods of diseases. It is also not uncommon that an Aboriginal child is being bullied in school because of their origin - which in turn leads to many of them dropping out of school. Another big problem is that the Aboriginals have English as their second language and English is the main language in the Australian schools.
