Hello, I have recently read your article about cameras (CCTV). After reading the article I can’t stop thinking about why, why all this cameras. Humans is having freedom, but where is the freedom when everybody is being watched no matter what they are doing.
I really like the article. I find it very interesting to read about surveillance cameras. I understand why people are using surveillance cameras for example in a shop or in front of a house so you can catch people who wants to steal your things. But I think it is getting a bit overrated, to have cameras in every room in your house. I don’t think it is a necessity to know what your children are doing, it is only healthy for them to have a little bit of privacy.
We would not have imagined ourselves in the past 5 years to be surrounded by cameras almost everywhere you go for example that there would be cameras in schools, offices and on the street. That is the reality now. There is a surveillance on every corner, in every store and in front of every home. It is a scary thought, that when you go to the toilet, people watch you while you “mind your own business”. Every time you use an automated telling machine (ATM), when you wait at a red light, it is almost as if people get a free look in sight your brain. They get to know how you think and what your daily routine is.
