Arnold Schwarzenegger was a man with big dreams. The only thing he had on his mind was to become number one even though he had to be selfish and hide his feelings “I have emotions. But what you do, you keep them cold or you store them away for a time. You must control your emotions…”(Page 1, l.8-10). It appears that Schwarzenegger believed that if you wanted to be number one you had to move to America. He believed that there were no obstacles in America because there is and nobody holding you back beyond yourself “When I came here to America, I felt I was in heaven. In America, we don't have an obstacle. Nobody's holding you back”(page 1, l.35-37). He fully believed that by going to America, he would reach his goals. His goal was to become number one no matter what that required “I had a big need for being singled out: the winner”(page 1, l.25).
