The famous Arnold Schwarzenegger departed to America in 1968 for his shot at the American Dream. A Schwarzenegger’s comment from “U.S.News & World Report” says, that it is not just a piece of cake to live out your American Dream, but according to Arnold you have to give America something in return to become a United State citizen. Responsibility is an important keyword for immigrants, Arnold thinks. The head message in this comment is that you cannot just come to America and get a lot of handouts without giving something in return. Your duty as an immigrant is that you have to give something back to America - and that is what Arnold means with the word responsibility. Arnold himself is an immigrant from Austria, he (as I mentioned earlier) came to America in 1968. Arnold has three items in his comment, items he thinks immigrants have to fulfill if they want to become a part of America and the American people.
First of all the immigrants have to learn the English language and blend into American culture. After this statement Arnold gives an example where he includes one of his own experiences, he tells how he took English lessons, speech lessons and accent-removal lessons so he could be able to participate in the life of the nation.
