En dårlig date og den store kærlighed

It has been a long while since last time I wrote you. A lot has happened since then. I actually think I have found the one. You will definitely be surprised by this but we actually found each other because of you.

It all started the day after you took off for boarding school. I don’t know if you remember it but you created an account on a dating site for me, without me knowing anything about it. I didn’t realize it before I received an email from this random person the day after you left. When I discovered my new account I actually got a little mad at you. I guess I thought online dating was for desperate people who didn’t have a chance finding love in the real world. But don’t worry today I’m really thankful for what you did. But back to the story.

A man named Carl emailed me. He said that he thought I sounded like an interesting person and that he really would like to meet up with me. I didn’t know what to answer. On one hand I really didn’t feel like going out with a stranger, but on the other hand he sounded really nice and he didn’t look bad either. It took a couple of days for me to decide to go out with him. I agreed to meet up with him at this bar he knew. My heart was racing when I seized the doorknob. A smell of old smoke and sweaty men reached my nose when I opened the door. All my expectations and anxiousness fell to the ground. Carl sat in the corner and waved at me. I faked a smile and walked slowly to his table. I tried shaking his hand while he tried hugging me. IT WAS SO AWKWARD! The whole date went terrible. He kept telling horrible jokes and interrupting me every time I said something. After spending a whole hour with him I really needed a drink. I went to the nearest bar and ordered the strongest drink on their menu. I was a little tipsy when someone asked me “bad date huh?”. I was about to ask the person to leave me alone, but when I turned around I went nom. I was staring at a young man with gorgeous blue eyes. His flowing blond hair was combed back into this model-like hairstyle. Two cute dimples appeared when he smiled at me and said “are you okay?” I felt my cheeks blushing while I shyly nodded. We started talking. I told him about my horrible date and I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. The hours went by and we kept talking and laughing.
