Letter to a friend

I hope you are well. I’m so glad that you want to visit me and my family in Denmark. There are so many places I want to show you. I think that we can make a “little” trip here in Denmark. We can start our trip in Legoland in Billund. I can promise you that we will have a lot of fun and we will feel like kids in this place! As you know it is only about 10-15 minutes from my house. Next day we can drive to ARoS Art Museum and the Old City in Aarhus. In The Old City we can experience Denmark in the old centuries. In ARoS we can enjoy the art. We can take a train from Aarhus to Odense to visit our next trip destination. I think we will find a hostel in Odense and sleep there for one or two nights. Next morning we can visit Hans Christian Andersen Museum and Funen Open-Air Village. The fourth day we will take a train to Copenhagen and visit Tivoli Gardens, Kronborg Slot, Christiansborg Palace, The Round Tower and of course the Mall - Fisketorvet. I think we will be in the capital of Denmark for 2-3 days and we will sleep in my grandparent’s apartment. After three days we will take the train back to Aarhus and my other grandmother will wait for us in front of the station. Then we will drive with her to her cosy home in Viborg. You really have to try her food. She is so good at cooking. She is especially good at making danish food such as flæskesteg, which means roast pork. It is one of the most beloved dishes in Denmark. We always eat it at Christmas. My grandmother told me that she wanted us to see danish nature. That is why she has planned, that we would drive to Dollerup Bakker with her dog on Tuesday, that means a day before you will leave. This place is really amazing with the forest, beautiful lake and hills. After our visit in Dollerup Bakker my grandmother will drive us to my home in Brande. I can’t even wait to see you again.
