The Amish people: a different way of life

I have always seen the world from one perspective. And I have always thought it was the only correct one. An everyday with school, work, traffic, stress, shopping, TV and an everyday where time plays an important roll. But is our way of living the only way? And is it the right way? The minority group of Amish-people is the example of a society that looks at the world in a totally opposite way than us. The almost 230.000 Amish people are spread over often isolated areas in USA and Canada, especially Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Ontario, and their population grows fast. Their look of life inspires me in one way, but still leaves me with so many questions. The Amish emphases the simple life, the life where time plays no roll, on hard work, community and they fight against egoism and vanity.

The Amish people are one of the most mysterious groups of people in America today. They believe that God has a personal interest in their lives and their communities and this belief is what holds them together. Their way of life is based on Christian morals, traditions, and customs that have lasted for generations. I think it is cool how people can have minority groups like the Amish people.
