Amish people are a different and complicated form of people. They live a lifestyle that is far away from ours. Amish people live together in a community far away from the population. They do not have any kind of technology or electricity. You can say that they live like you did in the 18th century. They do not have cars either, so they come from one place to another with a buggy. All Amish people live on a farm and provide food, water and shelter for themselves. They do not have any kind of insurances so if they end up in a accident they have to pay for it all by themselves.
The teenagers also have a period when they turn 16 where they must choose if they want to stay with the Amish people or not. If they choose to stay with the others, they must be baptized. I think that is a very important and difficult decision to make. They are choosing to either be with their family or get out in the real world without their family. That can be hard when your only 16 years old. As a teenager is technology a very big part of your life and they do not even have a single piece of technology or electricity.
