Fremtidsplaner: en personlig refleksion

In ten years, I see myself being in my final year at a university in Copenhagen, on my way to become a dentist. Ever since I was twelve years old, I’ve always wanted to become a dentist. When I was twelve years old, all my classmates and friends thought it was weird to want to become a dentist. At the time, they all wanted to become pilots, doctors and scientists, they always asked me the question, “wouldn´t it just be boring to just look at people’s teeth’s for hours every day?”. My response was that I didn’t believe it would be boring at all. I also see myself in ten years living in an apartment in Frederiksberg in Copenhagen, with my best friend from France. I imagine the apartment as a five room apartment containing two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room and one bathroom. Every morning we will wake up a seven am, he would be going to the IT university in Nørrebro to become a game developer, while I’m going to the university for dentists in Østerbro. At five pm we’ll both be home and eat dinner together in the evening. After dinner, when we’re both finished with our homework, we’re going to go into the living room and play some games together on our PlayStation, until we go into are own bedrooms to sleep. I will also have a part time job to make money, so that we can pay for the apartment. Since I speak French fluently, it seems obvious that I should become a French teacher for students, who need extra French in high school. It’s an easy and fun job, because they only learn the basic French in high school, and I get to teach a lot of students. And every holiday me and my best friend will have saved up some money to visit our two other best friends who live in France, the four of us have been friends since nursery so we have many great memories together. They moved to France at the same time that I changed to a Danish school. We still keep in contact; I speak with them 3-4 times a week. I also still keep in contact with the students from my old school, which I visit every Tuesday after school. And it also helps that almost my entire rugby team is made up of students from my old school. In ten years I also see myself along with my best friend after we have graduated from the universities, moving to Paris to begin a new life over there. I´ve always wanted to live in Paris. And it’s also great that my three best friends also are going to live in Paris. So in ten years I see myself as starting up my own dentist clinic in Paris and being with my three best friends.
