The Weekly Visit

The weekly visit is a story about a son and his mother, the son is a man who helps his mother every Tuesday, he helps her with chores and keeps her with company. And the story is about how the son Jake, tries to tell his mother that he can’t keep helping her, and the mother tries to get him to keep helping her.

Narration and Point of View

The story “the weekly visit” is narrated by a third person, the third person is narrating the story in a sense that the reader gets told everything, such as feelings. The reason why it's a third person and not a first person narrator is because the reader gets told feelings and inner qualities that otherwise would not be told.

The story is being told from the perspective of the son Jake (Joaquim), and the reason is that you hear from his perspective before he arrives at the mother’s house and after he leaves the mothers house.
