I hope, after reading this letter, you will consider having me at your school, next year. My name is Celia Peyton, I am 14 years old, soon to be 15. I live in Denmark and I'm in 9th grade. During my free time, I swim, do CrossFit, hang out with my friends and babysit. One of the main reasons, I wish to study at your school, is because of the great opportunity to expand my knowledge on the history and culture of The United Kingdom. I have been to England once before, and I must say I really enjoyed it. After experiencing a small part of the culture there, I knew I had to know more. I wish to learn and discover more about this beautiful country and I hope you will help me achieve this. Another advantage of studying at your school is the opportunity to enhance my English. As of now, I actually speak the language quite well, but I still think there is room for improvement, and being in an English-speaking country for a full year, I think would really benefit my English a lot. I browsed your school website, and I saw that you have a swim team. Swimming is one of my favorite things to do. I swim every day after school and I compete in competitions every month. I have won second place a handful of times, and first place once. I would really enjoy being on the swim team. I love being a part of something and socializing. Also, I saw that every year a group from your school travels to Malawi for three weeks to do volunteer work. I would love to contribute with my help and go on this trip because I love to help people in need, and I want to help make the atrocious circumstances they are living under a bit better. I also think the trip would be a great way to experience different cultures and see how different places can be and show that not everyone is living under as great circumstances as most of us are benefitted with, here in Denmark.
