Your shoes is about a mother who is writing a letter to her daughter who has ran away from home. When the mother who is also the narrator is writing the letter she talks about the shoes of her daughter which is the only memory she got from her. While the mother is writing the letter we get to hear how bad she is to communicate with her children which might go her on when she gets angry sometimes.

The title in the story plays a big role because it has a symbolic in the story.

Beginning:

The beginning in the story is when the narrator speaks and we don't know if the daughter is dead or alive.

Ending:

At the end the mother comes off with much of her anger by kissing and hugging her daughters shoes as she thinks is her baby.

The daughter is a important character in the short story. In the short story we never find out how she actually is and how she ends up so we don't find the right version of her.

The narrator's husband is the reason why the daughter ran away from home.
