Charlie Sheen and voyeurism- What if Amy Winehouse had been left alone
Summary
In these two different articles we are reading about how we see the life of a famous performer or artist. We are always behind the scenes of these peoples life, judging every move they make, almost like it’s an “addiction”. We are seeing them as an inspiration and a role model, but many people are still using their life and their missuary to make a go-to punchline or a opening monologue to a show, just like they did with Amy Winehouse. We think it’s our right to comment on another person's life or their actions, and it has become socially accepted that a person without any relation can intervene or comment on a stranger just because they are in the public eye.
Comment 1
In the first article called “What if Amy had been left alone” we are getting close to the author by the way he pulls us in, because he himself participated in this tormenting of the young jazz singer “I did it, too, I’m sure, taking the piss out of her pessary, before she started to stop singing on stage, swaying there confused like old wisteria.” But why do we as strangers feel the right or the craving to intervene in another person's life based on that they are a public figure? When can it ever be you're right to tell one another how to behave, how to look or even how they should present them self to the world. The author has a very caching title to his article, because what would had happened if the press and media had left this talented and almost broken singer alone. I believe that it would have made a huge difference, but that is just one persons opinion.
