Charlie and the chocolate is a movie directed by Tim Burton. The movie is about love, family unity and the seven deadly sins. Love in the family and the love to do what you love. The perfect family unity in Charlie’s family and the difficult family unity in Willy Wonka’s family. And last but not least how each character contains one of the deadly sins.

Willy Wonka is a chocolatier, who lives in his own chocolate factory. The factory is big, scary, grey and the atmosphere is somehow dead on the outside. On the inside the factory is full of colors, full of life and it’s like a mysterious fairytale. The factory is just like Willy Wonka. Willy Wonka is pale, cold and scary on the outside, but he has a lot to offer on the inside. He is brilliant, clever, he has this interesting personality and childhood and feelings that he is hiding away. Willy Wonka is in a way people smart because it’s like he predicted how the children would act in each room, but he doesn’t know how to act around people. That could have something to do with him not being treated right by others. His employees betrayed him and he has a tough relationship to his father. Willy Wonka is lonely, but he thinks that he is happy because of all the material things he owns. Willy Wonka is not familiar with the terms family and love, because he haven’t experience it. He was more like a project or patient than a son to his father. The father was very strict and didn’t allow Willy to eat sweets, and he wasn’t good at expressing his feelings either. Willy Wonka undergoes a huge develop. He faces his fear, gets reunited with his father, he expressed his feelings to his father through a hug and he allows himself to be a part of a family unity.
