Can money define who we are? We can all agree that money is a very important thing to more or less everyone, so since it is that important it must mean that you can define each person from what they buy. But why do people choose to spend a lot of money on things that they don’t really need?

One of the most common reason for why people feel the need to buy all the newest brands, is that it makes you fit in. Another reason could be that buying the newest phone or the newest pair of sneakers makes you happy. Humans are made that way that we all like different things, which means that not all people like the same brands. For instance, you could say that most people that buy Nike product identify as sports people.

On one side you could say that it is kind of wrong that people have to buy from specific brands to fit in, or feel accepted. But then again on the other side, eventually it is your decision what YOU choose to buy, and in most situations it is not like your friend’s wont hang out with you if you don’t wear all the newest clothes, or have the newest phone.
