David Beckham, is a man and an icon. Not only in the football world, but in the whole world. His wife Victoria Beckham, that was in the band called Spice Girls. That might have even made him more famous and popular in the U.S before he moved over there and playing for the California club, Los Angeles Galaxy. He's not the only footballer that had been a role model for a lot of kids and men, in the past professional football players and athletes have been much more looked up to, not only by fans adoring their team or club. But because of social media, the medias like instagram and snapchat allows the fans and other people to get a more opened view in these peoples life. Maybe I follow Lebron James, on instagram but i hate basketball, but i am in love with all his cars or his shoe collection. As i remember him, one of his trademarks was his perfume commercials, maybe in football it was his free kicks. He promoted himself very well. he was an real idol for small kids, and was very influential and that is something many athletes and celebrities are good at now a days because of these social medias. Many rich athletes back in the day could maybe seem arrogant and some people might envy them, but now when they are uploading funny videos and shows that they have a normal life too, they seem more down to earth.
