Renewable energy sources are energies that are collected from renewable resources, which are naturally refilled on a human time schedule. Renewable energy resources exist over wide geographical areas, in difference to other energy sources, which are focussed in a limited number of countries. Renewable energy plays an important role in decreasing greenhouse gas productions. When renewable energy sources are used, the demand for fossil fuels is reduced.

Wind power

Wind power is the usage of air blow through wind turbines to directly power generators for electric power. Wind power, as an alternative to burning fossil fuels, is abundant, renewable, widely distributed, clean, produces no greenhouse gas emissions during process, needs no water, and uses little area.

Solar power

Solar power is the transformation of energy from light into electricity, either directly using photovoltaics, indirectly using concentrated solar power, or a mixture. Concentrated solar power systems use lenses or mirrors and tracking systems to focus a large area of sunlight into a small beam. Photovoltaic cells transform light into an electric current using the photovoltaic result.

Hydro power

Hydropower or water power is power derived from the energy of falling water or fast running water, which may be harnessed for useful purposes. Since ancient times, hydropower from many kinds of watermills has been used as a renewable energy source for irrigation and the operation of different mechanical devices, such as gristmills, sawmills, textile mills, trip hammers, dock cranes, domestic lifts, and ore mills. A trompe, which produces compressed air from falling water, is occasionally used to power other machines at a distance.
