It is important to go to school “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” This is a quote by the former American president and scientist, Benjamin Franklin. The former president states, what most parents in the western world state to their children, school is essential. Many children don’t follow the advice, but the ones that do will benefit massively from this. There’s even a reasonable explanation for this statement, it is true.

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” This is a quote by the former American president and scientist, Benjamin Franklin. The former president states, what most parents in the western world state to their children, school is essential. Many children don’t follow the advice, but the ones that do will benefit massively from this. There’s even a reasonable explanation for this statement, it is true. Boris Sidis was a well-known psychologist from the early nineteen hundreds but is today overshadowed by the achievements of the fellow psychologist Sigmund Freud. Boris Sidis is also the father of William James Sidis. William Sidis has the highest recorded IQ of any person that has ever lived. Boris’ achievements or life, in general, is not impressive like it is unless you consider his humble beginnings. Boris Sidis was born to Jewish parents October 12th, 1867 in Berdychiv, Russian Empire today knew a Ukraine. From an early age, he showed his incredible intelligence by teaching farmer around Russia to read and write with a bunch of friends. Although due to the Russian Zar’s very critical opinion against education among Russia’s citizens Boris and his friend were convicted of treason. Boris’ friends were all hung or thrown into concentration camps, but Boris’ father had some ties to the prison guards, so the young Boris was only thrown into solitary confinement, for two years. Boris described this experience as being a time where he was only surrounded by one thing, his thought. After Boris’ release in 1889 he was persecuted for being a jew, so he took the drastic decision to immigrate to the US. In the US Boris used his talents in learning and studying to his advantage. The man completed a whopping four degrees at Harvard University and earned a B.A., M.A., PhD and an M.D. He also graduated with a Magna Cum Laude because of his excellent grades. Afterwards, Boris Sidis did revolutionary work in the field of psychopathology that helped Sigmund Freud in formulating his psychoanalysis. This is a tale of a man, who came from very humble beginnings and was even imprisoned. This man worked his way into the history books and achieved unbelievable things, and the main ingredient to his success was education. By going to school, and studying, Boris went from a poor farmer to a very wealthy psychologist. I believe that this is a prime example of how school works. It merely turns people life around. A lot of times school can be boring or tiring and will make people forget this. People tend to be a little lazy when it comes to working. Everyone wants to profit from something, but not everyone wants to work for that profit. People like Boris are the ones that have worked for the profit. I believe that school follows the saying ‘you reap what you sow’ very good. The bigger an effort you make in school. The better an education you will get and the better your life will be. You dictate your effort, but school helps you with that.
