Spitsbergen og Svalbard: en introduktion

Svaldbard is an island group in Norway. There is 20 islands in Svalbard. And there is also an amazing nature on the island.

(Amsterdamøen, Barentsøya, Bjørneøen, Danskøya, Edgeøya, Hopen, Kong Karls Land, Kongsøya, Kvitøya, Lågøya, Nordaustlandet, Prins Karls Forland, Proppen, Spitsbergen, Svenskøya, Syvøerne, Tirpitzøya, Tusenøyane and Wilhelmøya)

It was most likely discovered by Viking or Russian explorers the 12th century, but there wasn’t anyone who actually lived there until the early 1600. The year 1925 was it claimed Norwegian territory, and today its home to about 2,700. Many of the people has a different massive country, but there is a huge amount of people coming from Norway and Russia

Spitsbergen is the biggest island in the island group Svaldbard with an areal on 37.673 km2. Fun fact Spitsbergen is 10 times bigger than the island Hinnøya, and thus Norways buggest island and its also the 36. Biggest island in the world

You can either choose to fly to Spitsbergen very cheap or else sail. If you choose to sail, you’re want to get a real trip out of it. On the way you see a lot of beautiful nature, and a very cozy time. But if you by the other hand decide to get the with a airplane, you just came to see the island, or it could be a very big mistake you could make when you were drunk because it is so cheap to fly.
