The mountains and plains of Portugal are perfect for rock-climbing, horse riding or biking. The climate in Portugal is mild year round. Summers are dry and clear. In Portugal you can find sandy beaches and modern shopping centres. To travelling around Portugal is easy. Lisbon has a Metro system that provides a fast, cheap and efficient service through the centre of the city and beyond. The rules of the road in Portugal are the same as in other European countries. It is not a problem then, to drive a car in Lisbon. If you want to use another kind of transport, you can use taxis or busses. There are a lot of them in Lisbon too. If you speak Portuguese or English well, it is easy to travel around Portugal.
