The wall. It was the best place in town. My wall, the wall was always just standing there, it didn’t go anywhere. I lay often on the wall, and I had done it since I was little. Many people thought I was odd and that something was wrong with me, but I didn’t care, why should I? It was a thing in my life, that I couldn’t let go. People always asked the same question “It’s just a wall, why do you love it so much?” Now I’ll tell you why exactly this wall means so much to me. Now I’ll tell you my story.

As I said, I’ve come here since I was little, because of my mother and grandmother. My mother and grandmother had lived here in their entire life, they grew up here. My grandfather lived with us, Manchester is just our city and will always be our city. When I was little my grandfather always took my down to this wall. It was so nice here and peaceful. The church, shopping and the whole city was just behind this wall.

One day my grandmother died, and then my grandfather moved away from Manchester city. Before he left Manchester, he took me by hand and went down to the wall with me, just to say, that he will miss me and that I should take care of the wall. He lifted me up on the wall and whispered that grandmother always will be right here, at his wall. I could fell a big smile on my lips, and it gave me a feeling of safety. It took hard on him when she died and since that day he left the town. He never told me, if he did come back again.
