New Mexico, Oklahoma and Kansas

What did you learn about New Mexico from the diaries? By reading these diaries I learned that it is boiling hot in New Mexico. The sun shines 300 days a year. I also learned that Santa Fe is the capital of New Mexico. The scenery in New Mexico is desert landscapes and strange rocks. There are three main cultures in New Mexico, First came Native Americans, then Spanish and later came the Wild West period. In New Mexico there is a river called the Rio Grande River, it’s in a lot of Wild West movies. The biggest city in New Mexico is Albuquerque, it has 500,000 inhabitants. It is famous for it International Balloon Fiesta.

What do you think of the state of New Mexico, compare it with Oklahoma + Kansas. I personally don’t think I would travel to New Mexico because of the heat they are experiencing. Although I would love to see the scenery they have in New Mexico. In Kansas they can experience up to 81 degrees fahrenheit, (27°C) in New Mexico they experience up to 91 degrees fahrenheit (32°C). In Oklahoma they can experience up to 93 degrees fahrenheit (33°C). If I were to travel to any of these states, I think I would choose New Mexico, even though if gets very hot, I think it has the prettiest scenery. If I were to travel to New Mexico, I would definitely need a place with lots of air condition. I would maybe be a little nervous to travel to New Mexico because it is the least-safe state to live in. They have a low number of cops and a high number of crimes.
