The Oklahoma Bombing was a terror attack which took place on April 19th, 1995 in Oklahoma City - which is the capital of the American constituent state Oklahoma.
The terror attack was executed by bringing and igniting a truck filled with a mixture of agricultural fertilizer, diesel oil and other chemicals. This was used as an explosive bomb in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Guilty for this crime was Timothy McVeigh and his accomplishes, and according to him he carried out the attack “to protect his faith”. He alleged that his rights and beliefs had been violated as a result of a recent law change due to the Waco incident. The bombing in Oklahoma killed 168 people and was the most violent terrorist operation in the US history prior to the September 11, 2001. Terrorist attack. 19 of those killed were minor children.
Point: Within moments into this act, the surrounding area resembled a war zone. A huge part was reduced to rubble with many floors flattened out like pancakes. The area looked critical with cars and buildings on fire and surroundings getting destroyed and damaged. Quotation: “This is not a movie. It's a town. It's our home” (headline, p. 14)
