Overwhelmed with happy emotions he walked down the packed streets of Soho. Past the small shoe shops, restaurants, souvenirs and other also stores. Mark loved the city of London and especially Soho, there was just something nice and special over that area. Always filled with people and laughter, people were nice even if you had a thick Scottish accent and was very warm and welcoming. Mark still couldn´t believe what his Mom said but it had to be true. He walked down to the Metro that was so different from where he was just 2 minutes ago, no laughter, no smiles and people didn´t seemed happy at all. “It must be because of the smell and no natural light” Mark thought.

Mark took the red line to Trafalgar Square another place he loved because of the open area where all kinds of people hung out. Mark loved looking at people and imagine their stories. One group was punkers, another group was street performers one of them Mark had became friends with on the first day he arrived in London. Ruffalo was his name and he was an extraordinary juggler. Mark told him” My mom just called and told me some good news, I got in, I’m going to Harvard’s Author academy. It’s my biggest dream coming true, and maybe it means that I can become a world known author someday.” Ruffalo congratulated him and asked him out for a drink. Then it hit Mark what the good news also meant, he needed to go home tomorrow and leave the city he had fallen in love with in just the two weeks he been there. Ruffalo noticed Marks sad face and tried to cheer him up, but Mark was not to cheer up again. Suddenly the scholarship he was granted at Harvard didn´t seem so amazing after all. Mark told that to Ruffalo, but Ruffalo convinced Mark that he needed to go to Harvard and study, so he could come back to London and write fantastic stories about London and its people. Mark liked that thought very much so he swore an oath to Ruffalo that was he was going to live in London and write stories about the city. Mark and Ruffalo hugged and said goodbye. Mark went home to his hotel and packed his stuff. He went to bed but had a hard time falling asleep. He laid and imagine what it would be like at Harvard and what he would do if he failed or didn’t pass.
