I hate animal cruelty although it isn’t a thing that I am thinking to much about. Animals being used for medical research, or treated like they weren’t alive is a horrible thing. If I am thinking about animal cruelty its when I am at the super-market. At the supermarket where they are selling battery hens.
Battery hens are one of the worst things ever, when you are talking about the topic treatment of animals. Hens are also animals and they have to be treated just as good as other animals. They are eating them self to death! They aren’t even experiencing real sunlight. I am never buying eggs from battery hens although they are the cheapest which properly also is the reason why people are buying them.
There have been some new statutory requirements where the hens have got some new cages that have made them a lot less stressed. That is amazing, but it’s a bit scary to think about that over two thirds of the hens living in Denmark are living in cages, which I still think are a lot. But I hope and are seeing forward to new and even better amendments for the hens.
