But can a perfect life in the American Dream be achievable, or is it just a national ethos – a bad cliché? And does the American Dream present a real perfect life, and what is the American Dream acctually?

In text two by Arnold Schwarzenegger, I think the American Dream is interpreted like something you can achieve, if you have made yourself worthy for it, and worked hard to gain it. Arnold Schwarzenegger describes in the text how he had fulfilled his dream, and he describes it as something he had worked hard for, and determination and will was one of the main factors.
In text three the American Dream is presented negative, because the author of the text has found out, that when people passes $50.000 a year in income, more money has little effect on peoples happiness. This just show us, that people cannot get enough – they always want more and more, and cannot be satisfied with what they have, and appreciate material stuff the less and focus on the social and the immaterial. The author has also found out, that the top earners have far less free time than the poorest fifth of Americans, and their average mood is much better.
