Do I think English should be the lingua franca of the world? Well, first and foremost I would like to explain how easy the English language actually is. One of the first reasons is that ? English is a gender-neutral?”language. There is no such thing as Masculine, Feminine or ? Neutral gender, which makes?”it fairly easy to use any English noun. The conjugation to is?”?fairly?”?simple. The verb always remains the same except the third person singular where it either has the ending “e” or “es”. Whereas in Spanish for example, you would have to conjugate the verb depending both on the gender, and you have pay attention to what pronoun is in front of the verb. I have experienced this for myself. I could speak a tiny bit of English even before I started learning it in school. And approximately in 4 years of learning it in school, I felt safe having an English conversation. But with french, it was a very different story. I had french for 4 years, and still to this day I almost can not even make up my own sentences. Maybe it also had something to with me thinking that french was completely unnecessary to learn. Another reason why I probably learned English so fast was because I really felt that I could use it in my everyday life or eventually I would have to. And I had a thought that all over the world people spoke English, which is not quite true tho. So yes I really do think English should be the lingua franca of the world.
