India's Challenges and Path to Greatness

Maybe you have heard about India or maybe you know where it is located. Maybe you have visited India or maybe you have thoughts of living there or maybe you already live there. No matter what, India face several numbers of challenges today, that ultimately could affect the development of society forever. It’s an anxious situation for people inside as well as outside India to look and follow the conditions of India. From one person to another person, there are different opinions about what and how extensive the problems are. Perhaps the most significant factor to consider is what solutions are needed to solve the problems and who should implement the solutions. To get closer to this, the text material and the video material will be analyzed.

First of all, India is a huge country both by area and population. It ranks as the seventh-largest country by area, and second by population. With a population of over 1,3 billion India does however, face some serious challenges in certain important aspects of society. The capital of Delhi, has approximately 26,5 million inhabitants, making it one of the most populated cities in the entire world. The capital is projected to challenge Tokyo, as the most urbanized area in the world within 2 decades. A numerous amount of people is not necessarily a bad thing, but the reason for this being a potential problem, is because of the state that India's society is in. An important part of a well-functioning society is to have a productive and well-run education system. The amount of people attending the education system however, has increased since the 1980s, but the quality is lacking. In certain regions of the country, an average 15-year-old is 5 years behind Shanghai. And these same people would be considered to be in the last 2 %, of an American class. The birth rate is decreasing and the same goes for the older part of the population. This means that the young generation has a critical impact on the future of India. The teenagers take up 13% of the entire population, and fortunately, India has recognized the problem and are trying to solve it. Spendings on schools rose by 80 % in 2011-2015, trying to help those who are more or less left behind. For example India have invested, in being able to provide the kids with free school meals, helping to reach the best possible conditions for education.
