Discuss challenges and problems about a multicultural society as they reflect in the short texts you have read. In your assignment you should include possible issues from the two short stories.

Everyone should have his or hers rights to choose whether to believe or not. You can’t take the faith from a person. But I also think that if you choose to move to another country, it is your duty to respect the new country’s culture.

As John Lennon wrote in his song Imagine, the world would be a better place if there weren’t all this division in the world. Division into countries and religions.

Maybe he is right. Many people would disagree, but also a lot of people would understand.

The two stories about, this kind of discrimination, makes me frustrated and confused about what to think. There is no right or wrong about religion, and therefore it is an incredibly difficult topic to discuss. At one hand it should be up to the countries individual to decide, what’s acceptable and not acceptable behaviour inside of their borders, but on the other hand it is a human right to decide what you want to believe and nobody should put you in a position where you would have to choose between fitting in or your belief.
